SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- The weather will be mostly quiet across the Bay Area for the rest of the weekend, with seasonable temperatures and breezy afternoon winds.
This evening, a weak area of low pressure moves across the Bay Area, reinforcing the NW onshore winds, and slightly increasing the marine layer. Areas under marine stratus this morning will likely have some clearing this afternoon before becoming overcast again early this evening. Increasing cloud cover also spreads inland overnight.
Near normal temperatures start the work week, then a warming trend kicks in as a ridge builds over the western US by late this week and next weekend, creating a warming trend, with high temperatures 10 to 15 degrees above normal by the weekend.
SamTrans launches $40 summer youth pass for unlimited ridesThe coastal marine layer is likely to stay in place during this period, so coastal areas may stay near seasonal temperatures. In the interior locations and South Bay urban areas on Friday and Saturday, there is a risk of heat-related illness for those who are sensitive to heat, and for those without adequate hydration or cooling.
The sun will rise at 5:52 a.m. and will set at 8:21 p.m.
As always, check back with KRON4 for the latest updates.
