The SEC is shifting the start times for Saturday’s semifinal contests at the SEC Baseball Tournament in hopes of getting ahead of some inclement weather on the forecast in Hoover, AL.
Friday evening, the SEC confirmed that the first semifinal between Tennessee and Vanderbilt will now start at 11 am ET (10 am local). The 2nd semifinal matchup will feature the winners of Friday’s Ole Miss-Arkansas and Texas A&M-LSU games, and that semifinal will follow approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the 1st game of the day. Both games will be aired on the SEC Network.
The original start time was supposed to be 1 pm ET (12 pm local), and the change gives a bit of wiggle room if severe weather does develop on Saturday. The current forecast is totally clear until 2 pm on Saturday, with chances for scattered thunderstorms increasing after 2 pm.
