The 2025 SEC Baseball Tournament continues Friday with 2 games set to be played in Hoover, Alabama.
The semifinal matchups will be decided following Friday’s slate of games. The other side of the bracket is already set, with Tennessee set to take on Vanderbilt on Saturday afternoon.
Friday will feature quarterfinal matchups between Ole Miss and Arkansas as well as Texas A&M and LSU.
SEC Baseball Tournament schedule for Friday, May 23
Here’s a look at Friday’s schedule along with TV designations:
Game 11: No. 7 Ole Miss vs. No. 2 Arkansas | 4 p.m. ET | SEC Network Game 12: No. 14 Texas A&M vs. No. 3 LSU | 7:30 p.m. ET | SEC NetworkThere’s plenty on the line as all 4 teams fight to stay alive in the SEC Baseball Tournament. However, that’s especially true for Texas A&M. The Aggies are on the NCAA Tournament bubble and may need to pick up a couple more wins in order to have a good chance of reaching the field of 64.
To make matters worse for Texas A&M, it lost star hitter Jace LaViolette to a broken hand on Thursday after he was hit by a pitch. However, reports indicate LaViolette could possibly return to the lineup if Texas A&M is able to reach the NCAA Tournament.
Ole Miss and Arkansas are both in the mix to be Regional (and perhaps Super Regional) hosts in this year’s NCAA Tournament. Heading into the SEC Tournament, D1Baseball’s latest bracket projection had Arkansas as the No. 2 overall seed and Ole Miss as one of the top 2-seeds. A win for the Rebels would be a huge boost for their hosting chances.
The 6 remaining teams in this year’s field have combined to win each of the last 8 SEC Tournaments. Vanderbilt and Tennessee each have 2 tournament titles over that span while each of Ole Miss, Arkansas, LSU and Texas A&M have one tournament crown.
