The three-hour drive from Walnut Creek to Fort Bragg turned out to be well worth it for the Las Lomas Knights and senior pitcher Alessandro Martinez-Cabrera.

Las Lomas (13-11-1) is the No. 13 seed in the division. Fort Bragg was seeded fourth.
