CSK head coach Stephen Fleming identified new young talent for India. Fleming rates Anshul Kamboj as the next game changer for the Indian team, especially in the England tour.
Kamboj’s consistent pace and his ability to land the ball on good length have made him more difficult to play in this year's IPL 2025.

CSK head coach stated that India would get an absolute handful bowler if they pick Anshul Kamboj for the next England Tour. Kamboj delivered balls on 138-139 kmph regularly.
Kamboj performed on flat pitches, and if he gets the conditions that help bowlers, then Kamboj will become a nightmare for the batters.
“Kamboj is good. His speeds have been around 138-139 (kmph). He is deceptive, and the ball always seems to hit the gloves harder. His big strength is his length, and he just gets the ball to wobble. You have seen it in this year’s IPL how he has performed on reasonably flat wickets. I believe he will do well on that tour (of England) if he gets conditions that seam a bit and a little bit of swing,” Fleming stated.
Fleming is not the type of coach who comes out and takes players' names every day, so that he will perform for India. But this time, Fleming rates Kamboj higher than any young talent in the CSK squad.
“He’s shown great temperament under pressure. But what really excites me is how well he controls the ball, and that skill is hard to teach,” Fleming appreciated Kamboj’s talent.
Anshul Kamboj’s IPL 2025 performance
Anshul Kamboj didn’t get the opportunity to play in the initial IPL 2025 matches for CSK, but when CSK bowlers were leaking runs, Kamboj made his entrance to the team as a new-ball bowler.
Kamboj has picked up five wickets in seven matches with an economy of 8.37. The young pacer has impressed everyone with his consistent hitting the same length every time.
CSK picked Kamboj for 3.4 crores in the mega auction. Kamboj had also played three matches for Mumbai Indians in the previous season.
Anshul Kamboj is included in the India-A squad
India A announced the squad for the England tour, and Anshul is named in the 18-member squad.
Kamboj was also in India's emerging team, and he is a consistent part of the India A squad but is yet to make his debut in the senior team.
Anshul plays for Haryana in the domestic circuit and he is the third bowler to pick all ten wickets in an innings in a Ranji Trophy match when he did it last season against Kerala.
