According to Fox Weather, "multiple tornadoes" touched down in areas from mid-Mississippi to the lower Ohio valleys on May 20 and into May 21. There were confirmed touch downs of cyclones in Alabama, Tennessee and Illinois, with widespread thunderstorms in the area.
Trees and power lines were brought down by the heavy winds and rain, causing outages and blocked roads in various areas. Cyrus hasn't shared any additional updates on how he made out in the aftermath of the storms.
Cyrus has been making headlines lately due to his new romance with Elizabeth Hurley. The two went public with their relationship on Easter Sunday, posting a photo together on Instagram.
On May 18, Cyrus posted a photo of a magazine cover that he saw while out on a shopping trip.
"Saw this at Target," he captioned a photo of the mag, which showed him and Hurley. The actress popped up in the comments section with a string of red heart emoji.
