Man with warrants gives police fake name after alcohol theft: PD 

(KRON) – A San Francisco man with multiple warrants was arrested after stealing alcohol last week, according to the Colma Police Department.

Around 4:43 p.m. on May 9, a BevMo store manager contacted police to report a theft that had just transpired. The manager explained that less than 20 minutes prior, a man had shoplifted alcohol and then fled to Michael’s store.

    Officers responded to Junipero Serra Boulevard and located the suspect. After being identified by the BevMo store manager, he was arrested.

    Colma PD said they located drug paraphernalia and burglary tools during the arrest. According to police, the suspect gave a fake name to officers before providing his real name, which is Cuong Lam. 

    After investigating, police discovered Lam had three warrants (one felony and two misdemeanors). Lam also had two prior theft convictions. 

    Lam, 56, was booked into San Mateo County Jail for felony theft with priors, shoplifting, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of burglary tools, providing false identification to peace officers and his three warrants.

    According to a photo provided by Colma PD, Lam was wearing a black shirt with Ruth Bader Ginsburg on it.
