After months and months of anticipation, the second season of Hulu's The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives — which follows "the scandalous world of a group of Mormon mom influencers" which "implodes when they get caught in the midst of a swinging sex scandal that makes international headlines" (according to Hulu's official synopsis of the show) — is officially out for the world to stream.
As one can assume, the claws are coming out more than ever before when it comes to the MomTok members — Demi Engemann, Jen Affleck, Whitney Leavitt, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, Jessi Ngatikaura, Taylor Frankie Paul and Layla Taylor — unafraid to speak their truth, always.
The most brutal of them all, though? Demi.
The fan favorite turned villain recently sat down with Bachelor Nation's Nick Viall for an episode of the The Viall Files podcast, discussing the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. In this conversation, Demi deemed one of her fellow MomTok members "performative," ultimately causing an uproar in the comment section.

♬ Wow. - Instrumental - Post MaloneNick asked Demi to kick off the conversation, "Did you experience that ever? Where you felt like all of a sudden the cameras came on and any of the ladies were performing?" to which she swiftly replied, "Absolutely. I don't know if you want me to call out specifics."
Nevertheless, calling out specifics is exactly what Demi decided to do, name-dropping Jen as "performative," especially when it comes to her behavior surrounding her and her husband: Zac Affleck.
"Definitely with Jen. I feel like cameras come out and it's a performance," she dished. "Jen is very performative. Everything was kind of an act. It was very much the slow blinking. She had it on tap."
Demi then decided to compare how Jen's personality differs in real life, telling Nick, "She's way more laid back. She's not as bold as she comes off on camera, if that makes sense. Like, if there's an issue, she'll be like, 'Whoa, whoa, whoa! That that was a miscommunication.' Like, she's a little bit more like easygoing... Cameras would come out, and all of a sudden she's like this bold Jen that is, you know, willing to call anybody out and stand up to her mean husband."
Given the fact that Jen is a fan favorite on the show, viewers were unhappy (to say the least) in the comment section of the podcast clip. "Demi is a total bully. I can’t stand her in a way I don’t typically experience for people on television," one user wrote, while another added, "Can't stand Demi."
Seemingly burning a bridge with Jen, it looks like Demi has some bad blood with Jessi too now that The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 2 has started airing, calling her "fame hungry" in a separate interview with Access Hollywood — yikes!
Will we see these friendships crumble during The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 2, or is this all simply post-show drama? To find out for yourself, you may stream the beloved reality television series via Hulu or Disney Plus as we speak.
