Crushed hatch chile pepper and crushed Thai style chili pepper join the McCormick lineup following the successful launch of crushed jalapeño pepper last year.
In a statement shared with Parade, the brand said, “McCormick Crushed Red Pepper is a staple product in many households,” noting that “these two new products will add to the brand’s growing list of spicy options.”

McCormick suggested uses for the two new spices, stating, “Add a sprinkle of Thai Style Crushed Chili Pepper to elevate soups, sauces, and curries, or add a dash to noodles and stir-fries!”
“Add a hefty pinch of Hatch Chile Peppers to elevate sauces, vinaigrettes, and marinades, or a spoonful to egg dishes like frittata and quiche for an easy upgrade to familiar dishes,” the brand continued.

Of the four crushed pepper varieties from McCormick, hatch chile is the mildest, followed by crushed jalapeño pepper. Consumers will likely be most familiar with crushed red pepper, while Thai style chili pepper packs the biggest punch.
The two new spices are available on McCormick’s website, Amazon, and at grocery stores nationwide.
