Mumbai Indians' most expensive pick in the IPL 2024 mega auction was Trent Boult. The franchise bought him for INR 12.5 crore.
Trent Boult picked up 18 wickets in 12 matches, and his economy is decent with 8.49. Boult was mainly bowling in the powerplay and in the death overs. His best performance came against Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he took 4 wickets for just 26 runs.

Mumbai Indians players doubtful for later stage of IPL
Mumbai Indians might face major challenges due to the rescheduling of the IPL 2025. The three foreign players in their playing XI will not be available for the playoffs.
The South African pair Ryan Rickelton and Corbin Bosch only got the NOC until May 25. The South African cricket board issued a notice about the participation of their players in the IPL.
South Africa will play the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia on June 11. Thus, they want their players to be rested before the big final.
Bosch and Rickleton both are in the squad of South Africa in WTC final. Will Jacks is also named in the ODI series against the West Indies by the England Cricket Board. The series will kick off on May 29.
Mumbai Indians' performance in IPL 2025
The five-time IPL champions are currently in the fourth position in the points table, and their last two matches are against two teams who are in the top 4 positions.
If Mumbai win both their remaining matches, then they will automatically qualify for the IPL playoffs. Mumbai started their IPL 2025 campaign on a poor note but they bounced back by winning seven games on the trot.
Hardik Pandya led side have covered all the bases but if their three main overseas players miss out the playoffs, then it will be difficult for Pandya to take his team to the final of IPL 2025.
Their last matches are against Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings on May 21 and 26, respectively.
