Arnold Schwarzenegger humorously gave fans a glimpse into his current relationship with his ex-wife, Maria Shriver!
E! News reported that Schwarzenegger mentioned Shriver, whom he officially divorced in 2021, while speaking at Amazon’s 2025 Upfront Presentation on May 12. During the event, Schwarzenegger mentioned that his 1996 holiday film, Jingle All the Way, is still quite popular.
“Jingle All the Way was the greatest Christmas movie of all time. They play it the whole month of December. I know because my ex-wife calls me about the residual," quipped Schwarzenegger.
E! News reported that it's been over year since Schwarzenegger has publicly spoke about his dynamic with his ex-wife, the mother of his children, Katherine Schwarzenegger, 35, Christina Schwarzenegger, 33, Patrick Schwarzenegger, 31, and Christopher Schwarzenegger, 27. The former couple, who wed in 1986, separated in 2011 because of his affair with Mildred Baena, the family's former housekeeper. Baena and Schwarzenegger have a son, Joseph Baena, 27.
Schwarzenegger opened up about his affair during a 2012 episode of60 Minutes. He said that he has "apologized many times to [Shriver]."
"I asked her for her forgiveness. And I hope that down the line, she will be able to forgive me for that," said Schwarzenegger during the interview.
He also complimented Shriver and stated that he has "always loved her" from the moment they met. In addition, he said Shriver "did not deserve" to be cheated on.
"She has been an extraordinary wife, friend, lover, everything," said Schwarzenegger while filming the 60 Minutes episode.
In addition, Schwarzenegger said he hoped the children he shares with Shriver could eventually forgive him. According to Schwarzenegger, his sons and daughters had different reactions to the news of his affair.
"I think each one reacted so differently. I think the girls were very upset. The boys were disappointed," said Schwarzenegger.
E! News reported that Shriver mentioned her divorce from Schwarzenegger in her 2025 memoir, I Am Maria. She wrote that the breakup "broke [her] heart" and "broke [her] spirit."
