One doesn’t usually think of romance when they think of Disturbed singer David Draiman, who is best known for the songs “Down With the Sickness” and his band’s hard-rocking cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence.”
However, during a concert last week in Sacramento, Calif., Draiman got downright romantic, inviting his girlfriend to the stage and then proposing to her in front of the crowd.

In video from the May 9 show, Draiman is heard inviting his girlfriend, model Sarah Uli to the stage, who initially seemed a bit perplexed. “She’s looking at me and thinking, ‘What the f—k is he doing?’” Draiman joked.
But then he got serious with the sweet talk. “Sarah my love, you have made my life so much better,” he said. “You are the light in the darkness…I love you more than anything I have ever loved in this world, and it would be an absolute pinnacle of my life and my existence…,” he said before pulling out a ring box and dropping down to one knee as the crowd cheered enthusiastically and Uli covered her face with her hands.
“Sarah, will you marry me?” She said yes and the two embraced and kissed.

The moment was captured in multiple posts on Instagram, including one by Uli, shared jointly on Draiman’s account. “The happiest moment ever with the love of my life ??We are engaged!!!! @davidmdraiman,” she wrote.
Fans were quick to congratulate the couple. “Huge congratulations!!!!!!” one wrote, while another added, “Oh gosh! Mazal Tov beautiful souls????.”
