PITTSBURGH STEELERS have stepped up their summer shake-up – with four roster changes.
And it includes the departure of an experienced running back.
Three players have arrived, including one with an NFL pedigree.
But it still leaves coach Mike Tomlin facing his biggest decision ahead of the 2025 season.
The signing of 41-year-old legend Aaron Rodgers has not been agreed yet.
And that’s the main reason the Steelers have not announced a starting quarterback.
Meanwhile, 25-year-old RB Aaron Shampklin has been released.
The former Harvard Crimson college star was previously with the Los Angeles Chargers, Houston Gamblers, Indianapolis Colts and the Dallas Cowboys.
But unlike their awkward situation at QB, the Steelers immediately replaced Shampklin with TWO RBs.
Tomlin has brought in Trey Sermon, 26, who played for the Colts over the last two seasons.

Last year he made 17 appearances for the Colts, with three starts.
He rushed for 159 yards on 56 carries, also recording 17 receptions for 99 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
Max Hurleman is Steelers’ second new RB, following 51 games including 23 starts in his five college seasons – four at Colgate University then 2024 at Notre Dame.
Amongst his stats are 194 carries for 814 yards and one touchdown.
Offensive Line Gareth Warren is the Steelers’ third newcomer after they concluded their 2025 Rookie Minicamp.
Warren played 35 games in four seasons with Lindenwood University.
Steelers fans might now be focusing on whether free agent Rodgers finally comes in.
It comes as NFL analyst Gregg Rosenthal told The Ross Tucker Show Pittsburgh have “mismanaged this situation” over the the four-time MVP.
