The IPL 2025 is all set to resume after being suspended for around a week. The second phase of the league will begin on 17th May, and the final of the tournament has been pushed back by nine days and will now take place on 3rd June.
The IPL 2025, which was running smoothly, had to be halted due to the tensions between India and Pakistan. The war-type situation arose, and things were so bad that the game between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala was called off mid-way.
However, as soon as the ceasefire was called by both India and Pakistan, the BCCI didn't waste much time and announced the schedule for the remaining 17 games of the IPL 2025, including playoffs. The revised schedule of the tournament will have two double headers as well.
The remainder of the IPL will be played across six venues as the BCCI doesn't want to take any unnecessary risk. Bengaluru, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad will see the remaining 17 games of the tournament being played
The playoffs of the tournament will start on 29th May with Qualifier 1, followed by Eliminator on 30th May. The second Qualifier will take place on 1st June, and the summit clash is now scheduled to be played on Tuesday (3rd June).
Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is all set to host the final of the IPL 2025, while Wankhede to host the playoffs
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), however, didn't announce the venues for the playoffs, saying that they will release an official statement on that soon. However, the reports in the Times of India learned that the governing body has already decided on the venues for the knockout stage.
As per the reports, it is learned that the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is all set to host the final of the IPL 2025. While Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai will be hosting the Qualifiers and Eliminator.

Weather in Chennai and Hyderabad reason behind the BCCI not scheduling the remaining IPL 2025 games there
On the other hand, the reports in the Indian Express revealed why the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) didn't host the remaining games in Chennai and Hyderabad. It is learned that the governing body has made the decision, keeping in mind the weather in both cities.
Okay. So many are asking why no matches in Chennai and Hyderabad. I’m told it is to do with the weather forecast. The BCCI seems to know something which the Chennai MET centre hasn’t warned us about.

The IPL will begin with the clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Coming to the table, the Gujarat Titans are at the top, followed by the Rajat Patidar-led side at two.
Punjab Kings are in third place, followed by Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals in fourth and fifth, respectively. It remains to be seen which team among them will make it into the top four.
