Tamil Nadu batter Sai Sudharsan is all set to be included in the Indian team's Test setup. As per the reports in the PTI, it is learned that the young batter is all set to be picked in the team for the five-match Test series against the England National Cricket Team.
Sai Sudharsan has been one of the finest youngsters in the Indian domestic circuit. The left-hander, since the last few years, has been amongst the most consistent batters in the domestic circuit as well as the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the Gujarat Titans.
Sai Sudharsan, for Tamil Nadu, has been impressive. The Southpaw has featured in 29 First Class matches and has scored 1957 runs. The batter has also featured for the India National Cricket Team as he has played three ODIs and one T20I, but is yet to feature in the Tests.
The PTI report claimed that Sai Sudharsan might make his debut for the India National Cricket Team in the Tests in England. The Tamil Nadu batter is all set to open or bat at three in the series, the squad for which is all set to be announced at the end of the third week of May.
“The Indian team for the tour of England will be announced during the end of the third week of May, while the India A team will be announced early next week.
“If there is one certainty among the rookies for the Test tour, it has to be Tamil Nadu southpaw Sai Sudharsan, who has made an impression. If all goes well, he will either open or come to bat at No. 3," said PTI report.

The opening batter has set the stage on fire in the league and is one of the major reasons behind the success of the Shubman Gill-led side in the tournament, as they are in the upper half of the points table.
Sudharsan has played 11 games for the Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. He is amongst the leading run-getters in the tournament as he has slammed 509 runs at an average of over 46 and a strike rate of over 153. He has also hit five half-centuries.

The Test series between England and India is all set to take place from 20th June at Headingley in Leeds. The next four matches will be played in Birmingham, Lord’s, Manchester, and The Oval. This will also be the start of the new edition of the ICC World Test Championship.
The India National Cricket Team is all set to be captained by a new player in the series after Rohit Sharma announced his retirement. It is expected that Shubman Gill will be leading the team, with Rishabh Pant all set to be his deputy in the five-match Test series.
