(KRON) -- This morning, stratus has settled in along the San Francisco Peninsula Coast and over Tomales Bay. This afternoon, temperatures will be 10 degrees above normal away from the immediate coast, thanks to a ridge sitting across the Intermountain West
On Sunday, as the ridge moves eastward, low pressure will develop off the Pacific Northwest coast. Sunday’s weather will be 20 degrees cooler than today’s, with strong onshore winds developing in the higher terrain, gaps and passes, gusting up to 40 mph.
On Monday, Bay Area temperatures will run 10 degrees below normal, with strong and gusty onshore winds, light rainfall, and a 10% chance of thunderstorms. Should a thunderstorm develop, the threats would include lightning, small hail, locally heavy rainfall, and gusty winds.
Temperatures will be slow to warm to seasonal norms Wednesday through Friday.
As always, check back with KRON4 for the latest updates.
