SAN JOSE — A pregnant woman died following a car crash on Interstate 280 on Thursday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Two children who were also riding with the woman were not injured in the collision, which was reported in the southbound lanes approaching Bird Avenue, the CHP said in a Friday news release.
The CHP said that just after 7:30 p.m. a 25-year-old San Jose woman was driving a green Honda Civic when, for a reason still under investigation, she cut across the freeway and hit a Ford pickup truck.
