SHERIFF’S REPORTS

The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office:

DUI: Adelina M. Gonzalez Ceja, 26, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail May 4 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and hit and run. She was arrested by the Ukiah Police Department.

    DUI: Carol A. Grass, 70, of Fort Bragg, was booked at county jail May 4 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested by the California Highway Patrol.

    DUI: Jeffrey M. Shephard, 31, of Middletown, was booked at county jail May 4 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested by the CHP.

    DUI: Carol L. Thomas, 68, of Dos Rios, was booked at county jail May 4 on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. She was arrested by the MCSO.

    THEFT WITH PRIORS: David A. Brown, 29, of Ukiah, was booked at county jail May 5 on suspicion of petty theft with priors, shoplifting and receiving stolen property. He was arrested by the MCSO.

    DUI WITH PRIORS: Richard K. Cavino, 61, of Willits, was booked at county jail May 5 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol with prior DUI convictions. He was arrested by the CHP.

    CRUELTY TO A CHILD: Alicia Joaquin, 31, of Covelo, was booked at county jail May 5 on suspicion of willful cruelty to a child, failure to appear and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was arrested by the CHP.

    ROBBERY: Michael D. Johnson, 24, of Fort Bragg, was booked at county jail May 5 on suspicion of robbery, burglary, domestic violence and conspiracy. He was arrested by the Fort Bragg Police Department.

    POSSESSION WITH PRIORS: Joshua J. Bell, 43, of Fort Bragg, was booked at county jail May 6 on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with priors, violating his probation and failure to appear. He was arrested by the FBPD.

    DUI: Thomas S. Davis, 69, of Willits, was booked at county jail May 6 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and on a suspended license. He was arrested by the CHP.

    Those arrested by law enforcement officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the information is in error should contact the appropriate agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, all DUI cases reported by law enforcement agencies are reported by the newspaper. The Daily Journal makes no exceptions.

    May 9: An article on Page 1 of Friday’s edition reporting on The Instilling Goodness, Developing Virtue School at the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas should have stated that it was fully accredited for K12 instruction as one school for both boys and girls.
