BART riders were forced to find other transportation early Friday, after the agency closed down its entire system early after a computer networking problem affecting train control occurred, officials said.

“Due to a train control system problem, BART service is suspended system wide until further notice,” BART wrote on its social media.
Spokesperson Cheryl Salter said AC Transit and Muni were offering aid to riders and honoring BART tickets.
Technicians were troubleshooting the situation past 6 a.m., according to Salter.
No other information was available immediately.
