Hallmark Fan-Fave Jumping to Lifetime For New Summer Thriller

Lifetime announced Thursday, May 8, that a familiar face from the Hallmark Channel is jumping networks this summer for a new thriller titled Dateless to Dangerous: My Son’s Secret Life.

Jodie Sweetin, who stars in the Jane Da Silva Hallmark Mysteries series of movies as the title character who routinely solves crimes, is starring in the Lifetime film as Noelle, a woman whose son is leading a double life.

"Dateless to Dangerous: My Son's Secret Life is a gripping drama that every parent of teens can relate to as they navigate identity, acceptance, social alienation and explores the rising subculture of incels – usually involuntarily celibate men," reads the Lifetime press release.

It continues, "The start of a new school year brings unexpected challenges for siblings Miles (Alexander Elliot) and Haley (Nikki Roumel) as they navigate dramatic changes in their lives. Their mother, Noelle (Jodie Sweetin), who’s newly separated, works tirelessly to provide for her family while adjusting to their new reality. In an effort to bond with her brother, Haley coaches Miles through his romantic pursuits, only for him to face public humiliation.

"As sibling tensions rise, Noelle begins to notice troubling changes in her son – anger, isolation, and hostility toward her, Haley and friends at school. After yet another crushing rejection, Miles spirals into the toxic world of incels — a dark and shadowy online underworld that fuels his growing resentment. As he slips further into darkness, Noelle and Hayley must race against time to save him, desperate to reach him before he’s consumed completely."

Sweetin's Lifetime movie premieres Saturday, June 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Lifetime. Her newest Jane mystery is called The Jane Mysteries: Murder at Moseby, and it premieres May 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

In Murder at Moseby, "Jane goes undercover at her alma mater to help her college boyfriend solve a crime he may have witnessed years ago – during the annual Edgar Allan Poe Festival."
