KATE Cassidy insisted she ‘never asked Liam Payne for money’ before it was revealed she won’t get ANY of the singer’s £24million fortune.

One Direction star Liam tragically passed away in October last year at the age of 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina.

Court documents released today show the singer died without writing a will – leaving behind £24.3million.

Yet, speaking exclusively with The Sun in February, the influencer fiercely defended her bond with Liam against haters.

She stated firmly: “So you know when people come and point a finger at me saying, ‘You took an allowance and you had living expenses,’ or whatever, at the end of the day it’s nobody’s business except for me and Liam.

“I never [asked him for money]. Yeah, it’s upsetting but it’s just about having thick skin and I’m never going to let anybody tell me how my relationship was with Liam.

“The only two people that really know how strong a relationship was are me and Liam.”

Kate dated the X Factor finalist for two years and lived with him in Florida before his tragic death.

Taking to Instagram just hours ago, she posted a carousel of photos in a sleek black leather-look top, denim shorts, and a bright red Ferrari cap.

Beaming beside a friend, also in full race day glamour, Kate captioned the post: “Had such a great time at F1”.

The F1 outing marks one of her most public appearances since Liam passed away.

She posted about her glamorous appearance from the high-octane event hours before news surrounding his fortune and how it will be managed made headlines.

New probate documents confirm Cheryl Tweedy, Liam’s ex girlfriend and mother of his son Bear, has been granted power to administer his estate.

The documents shed light on the scale of his fortune and Cheryl’s key role in handling his money.

His sudden death stunned fans worldwide, with tributes pouring in for the former One Direction star turned solo artist.

Court documents show he left £28,595,000, which after expenses and debts were paid saw the figure reduced to £24,280,000.

The tragic singer died intestate, which means he didn’t leave a will.

The court has therefore granted power of administration of his estate to Cheryl, his former partner and mother of his eight-year-old son Bear.

Also named as an administrator is top music lawyer Richard Bray, partner in a London-based legal firm.

Under UK’s rules of intestacy, it is likely that the money will be placed in trust for Liam’s son.

Kate will receive nothing as they were not married or in a civil partnership.

The influencer has been candidly documenting her grief since the tragic event in interviews and on social media.

    LOVE LOST

Liam’s girlfriend Kate flew back to their rental home in South Florida just two days before he died, saying she was ready to leave Argentina after two weeks away.

In videos taken in the weeks before Liam appeared happy and relaxed in their home, showcasing the rented $9,500-a-month Spanish-style mansion.

What happens when someone dies without a will?

IF someone in England or Wales dies without a will, their estate is given to their next kin in the following order:

Husband, wife or civil partner Children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and so on Mother or father Brothers or sisters who share both the same mother and father, or their children (nieces and nephews) Half brothers or sisters or their children (nieces and nephews of the half blood or their children). “Half”’ means they share only one parent with the deceased Grandparents Uncles and aunts or their children (first cousins or their descendants) Half uncles and aunts or their children (first cousins of the half blood or their children). “Half” means they only share one grandparent with the deceased, not both

Note that once the highest related relative has claimed, it negates claims made by lower down relatives.

So if you are, for example, a first cousin, you would only be entitled a share in the estate if there are no relatives above you in this order.

The $1.73 million home is located in an exclusive gated community in Wellington, Florida, known as ‘Horse Town USA’ for its residents’ love of equestrian sports.

It’s just 25 miles away from the affluent town of Jupiter, whose residents include Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan, among other A-listers.

In one video, Liam imitated the U.S. show Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous for comedic effect.

Wearing sunglasses in front of the its bright white exterior, he waved his arm and joked, “Who lives in a house like this? Let’s go and find out.”

Inside, he introduced the home by saying, “Welcome to LJP Cribs,” and continued with playful remarks, “Built during the first revolution, original stone… since then they knocked a few walls through and the ceiling was vaulted twice.”

The property features five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a saltwater pool, and a courtyard with waterfalls.

It is part of a gated community that offers resort-style amenities, including a gym, spa, and tennis courts.

The home is surrounded by towering palm trees, with a balcony above the entrance and a turret rising three stories high.
