Earlier Wednesday, the cardinals walked whilechanting in procession to the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel, where they swore oathsof secrecy and sealed the doors.
They are to remain sequestered, deliberatingand casting rounds of votes, until the new leader of the Catholic Church isselected.
