TOM Brady directed a shot at Skip Bayless over beliefs that he told the Las Vegas Raiders to not pick Shedeur Sanders in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Sanders, who was expected to be a first-round pick, was instead selected by the Cleveland Browns with the No. 144 pick in round five.
When Sanders dropped to the third round, former FS1 star Bayless thought that the Raiders part-owner Brady had something to do with the Las Vegas squad saying no to the 23-year-old’s services.
The fiery sports personality Bayless also mentioned Brady’s relationship with Sanders and wrote on X, “It is now pretty clear Tom Brady who mentored Shedeur – told the Raiders NOT to take Shedeur.
“Duly noted.”
During an appearance on Jake and Logan Paul‘s Impaulsive podcast, Brady spoke about Sanders’ NFL Draft fall.
“I mean there is – it’s a good question,” Brady said. “I wasn’t a part of any evaluation process.”
Once host Mike Majlak interrupted to say that Bayless thought it was Brady’s doing, the seven-time Super Bowl champion responded, “I know.
“That’s the problem with media, everyone can just say whatever the f*** they want and get away with it.
“It’s kind of unfortunate, because there actually used to be a lot of integrity in the media.
“There is way less now because everyone actually needs crazy voices to get heard.
“It actually probably hurts a lot of relationships which is not the goal of broadcasting.”
Brady then shared he got to talk to Sanders after being drafted by the Browns and sent him advice, as the former sixth-round pick knows what it feels like to see teams pass on you.
“Nobody knows (why Sanders was a fifth-round pick). I actually texted Shedeur because I know him very well.
“I said ‘dude whatever happens, wherever you go, that is your first day.
“Two matters more than the Draft. I was 199.'”

“… What does it matter, other than an overhyped day where people are selling stories? It’s an important day, but I have been there on day two when they need to learn a playbook and learn to be part of a locker room.”
Brady previously mentored Sanders in 2020 and said he was on the path to become a star player, but it wasn’t enough for him to draft the quarterback.
The Raiders opted to take a quarterback in the sixth round, the North Dakota State product Cam Miller.
But the Raiders didn’t need a quarterback early in the Draft as they trade with the Seattle Seahawks for Pro Bowl quarterback Geno Smith this offseason.
They picked 2024 Heisman-runner up running back Ashton Jeanty with their first-round pick and added other pieces for Smith.
