Holly Willoughby’s ITV future revealed after Dancing on Ice axe and quitting second hosting gig

HOLLY Willoughby has met with her ITV bosses to lock in hosting gigs after losing Dancing on Ice left her with no shows on the channel.

The presenter, 43, had extensive talks with director of entertainment and daytime Katie Rawcliffe on Thursday – the same day a controversial Channel 5 documentary on her kidnap ordeal aired.

The skate show was shelved after 19 series in March, meaning Holly had no jobs for ITV for the first time since 2004.

But this week’s meeting will change that, with a “string of exciting projects” on the table.

A source said: “Holly always intended to lock in new presenting roles for ITV, which has been her home for so long.

“She didn’t have anything confirmed earlier this year just due to the way the cards had fallen, but there are a string of exciting projects on the table and 2025 is looking good for Holly.

“Holly is looking to the future and this week’s meeting was a big part of that.

“It won’t be a return to daytime programming but new entertainment formats.”

Holly refused to take part in Channel 5’s factual piece about the plot to kidnap and murder her, called The Plot To Kill Holly Willoughby.

She was targeted by obsessed security guard Gavin Plumb, who planned to kidnap, rape and murder her.

The mum of three’s ordeal led to her quitting her presenting role on ITV1’s This Morning and taking a break from telly altogether.

She returned to screens for Dancing on Ice in 2024, joined by co-host Stephen Mulhern, and the duo teamed up for a short series reboot of You Bet!

But Stephen will go on to host a full run of the challenge show alone.

There are question marks over whether she will film a second series of Netflix’s Celebrity Bear Hunt.

She first began on Ministry of Mayhem when she was 23 years old, and continued to become ITV’s most important female host.

Plumb, 37, from Harlow in Essex, was caught by cops after revealing his plot in an online chatroom. He was jailed for at least 16 years last July.
