Tucker Wetmore is making waves within the country music industry as we speak, but he’s missing just one thing: someone to share his superstar life with.
For those who are unfamiliar, Wetmore is a newcomer to the country music industry, rising to success with smash hits like “Wine Into Whiskey” and “Wind Up Missin' You.” Since then, he has had two songs featured on the Twisters soundtrack — “Already Had It” and “Steal My Thunder” (featuring Conner Smith) — as well as released his highly-anticipated debut album: What Not To.
Topping things off, the 25-year-old made his Stagecoach debut the same day that What Not To hit music streaming services (April 25), playing some of the album's soon-to-be hit songs for the very first time.
One of the most notable tunes featured on Wetmore's debut album is "Brunette," where the talented singer/songwriter sings about wanting his next partner to have brown hair, as he does not want her to draw any similarities to his blonde-haired ex.
"I need a brown-eyed, 5'5 / North side of the Mason-Dixon line / Kind ain't climbed up in a four-wheel drive that's lifted / Never been fishin', never been muddin' / Gotta be, gotta be one that don't remind me of you there beside me / I need to find me a brunette," Wetmore sings in the chorus of the track.
Believe it or not, the Washington native has not sworn off blondes entirely, shooting his shot with Euphoria and Anyone But You star Sydney Sweeney. On an episode of The Viall Files today (May 6), Wetmore spilled the tea...

After complimenting the country crooner, calling him “pretty talented” after seeing his Stagecoach set, Bachelor star Nick Viall — as well as his wife, Natalie Joy — asked whether or not brown-haired women have slid into Wetmore's DMs since the release of “Brunette."
Affirming the statement, Wetmore then delved into the details of the DMs he has received since his rapid rise to stardom. “Ladies are bold man. Especially in the DM world, they’re bold. They say some wild things sometimes," he spilled, adding that he has "felt violated by reading one" a couple times in the past. Yikes!
On the flipside, Wetmore then shared some DMs he has sent himself, with the most recent one being to Sweeney.
On Saturday of Stagecoach — just 24 hours after his performance — the country superstar explained, “Somebody came to the house after a party... and somebody goes, ‘Dude Sydney Sweeney’s here this weekend.’ I go ‘Oh, I’m DMing her.’
After pondering what to say, Wetmore eventually sent “Hi Sydney,” but unfortunately, he "didn’t get a DM back" — yikes!
IMO, Wetmore and Sweeney would make the hottest couple, but did the "What Would You Do?" singer ruin his chance with a silly DM? To see whether or not the duo ever connects, it is safe to say that we will be keeping up with both parties on social media until further notice: @tuckerwetmore and @sydney_sweeney.
Nevertheless, to see the rest of Wetmore’s conversation on The Viall Files — as well as a conversation with The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Angela Oakley and more — you can stream today’s “Reality Recap” in its entirety below.
