talkSPORT betting tips – Best football bets and expert advice for Inter v Barcelona

We were treated to an all-time classic when Barcelona and Inter Milan faced off in Catalonia last week as the pair scored three goals apiece to leave the tie hanging in the balance ahead of Tuesday’s San Siro showdown.

Marcus Thuram’s first-minute opener set the tone for a chaotic clash and there should be more fireworks to come in the second leg.

We have picked out three top tips for Tuesday’s tussle, in which the hosts could make the most of home advantage.

    Inter Milan vs Barcelona tips

Inter Milan draw no bet @ 6/5

Given Barcelona won the shot count 19-9 and had six more shots on target than Inter in the first leg, a look at the stats would have you thinking it was a smash and grab from Simone Inzaghi’s men.

However, those numbers do not tell the full story and Inter performed well in Catalonia, something very few teams have done against Barcelona this term.

The Nerazzurri should feel more comfortable at home, where they have lost just three of their 27 matches this season, and they will be feeling fresher than their visitors, too.

Inter were able to make 10 changes to their starting XI for their win over Verona on Saturday, meaning most of their key men will be raring to go for Tuesday.

Barcelona, meanwhile, also rested players from the off in their win over Valladolid. But Hansi Flick was forced to bring on Frenkie De Jong, Raphinha and Lamine Yamal for longer than he would have liked and Inter’s rested legs, along with home advantage, may just tip the tie in their favour.

Bet boost: Raphinha 2+ shots on target @ 19/10

Given there were a mammoth six goals scored when this pair met last week, it is fair to expect a fair few shots to be unleashed at San Siro.

Barcelona racked up nine themselves in the first leg and their star man, Raphinha, registered a third of those.

The Brazilian has been in scintillating form all season, top-scoring in the Champions League for the Blaugrana with 12 strikes, and he is not afraid to shoot from anywhere, forcing an own goal from Yann Sommer with a thunderous long-range effort last week.

Raphinha has managed two or more shots on target in his last three starts, registering eight in those games, and has also achieved that in four of his last seven Champions League appearances, making a boosted 19/10 price for that bet worth taking.

Pau Cubarsi to be booked @ 19/5

Thuram can be a handful on his day and whoever he is paired with in Lautaro Martinez’s absence may give young centre-back Pau Cubarsi plenty to think about on Tuesday.

Cubarsi has emerged as one of the most exciting youngsters in the world, playing 51 times this season despite only turning 18 in January, but his inexperience could show as a cauldron-like San Siro may take its toll on such a youthful defender.

The Barca defender committed two fouls in each of his last three appearances and, having been booked in the first leg, looks a real contender to be carded again.
