SHEDEUR Sanders was left furious by the New York Giants’ verdict on him, according to reports.
The quarterback visited the Giants before the NFL Draft last month in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Sanders, 23, was made to wait until the fifth round before he was selected by the Cleveland Browns.
He was expected to be a first round selection.
But the ex-Colorado Buffaloes star eventually went with the 144th overall pick.
Reports on Sanders‘ team visits and interviews emerged before the NFL Draft which might have hurt his stock.
One anonymous NFL coach claimed he came across as “so entitled.”
And the report added that Sanders’ interview was the worst ever seen.
The controversial claim was slammed by members of the sports media.
But Sanders’ fall in the NFL Draft was one of the most dramatic ever seen.
He was expected to be the second quarterback taken overall, but ended up being the second that the Browns picked.
Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer shed further light this weekend on Sanders’ fall.
And some of it stemmed from a meeting with the Giants.
Sanders was shown a series of plays by the Giants, Breer told Zolak and Bertrand on Boston radio’s 98.5 The Sports Hub.
“There are mistakes intentionally put in the install,” the Sports Illustrated reporter said.
“He didn’t catch them and got called on it, and it didn’t go well after that.
“He was p***ed that they did that to him.”
To make matters worse for Sanders, New York traded back into the first round to take a quarterback.
But they selected Jaxson Dart over him with the 25th overall selection.
“He handled the process like he was a top-five lock,” Breer added.
“All these teams that either heard the bad stories from the other teams or that refused to meet with or that had a bad experience with personally.
“Now the amount of teams that are willing to draft has narrowed.”
