CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- One person was shot and killed early Saturday morning in South Charlotte, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Around 3 a.m., officers responded to the 500 block of Branch Way Court about an assault with a deadly weapon. When they arrived, they found someone with a gunshot wound, and they were pronounced dead at the scene by Medic.
CMPD has not said what led to the shooting or if anyone has been taken into custody.
