The University of Northern Colorado softball program will host the Big Sky Conference Tournament for the first time next week in Greeley.
The six-team, double-elimination tournament starts Tuesday and ends Friday, May 9 at Gloria Rodriguez Field, marking the first time the tournament has been in Greeley dating to 2013, according to the Big Sky Conference.
Tickets are on sale at tickets.unco.edu. Tickets are available for single sessions at $15 for adults and $5 for youths under 13 years old. All session bundles are also available.
The tournament winner earns the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament starting later this month. UNC is the two-time defending conference tournament champion.

Last year, UNC defeated Portland State 9-5 in 10 innings at Idaho State in Pocatello, Idaho to clinch the repeat victory.
UNC is hosting the tournament this year as the regular season champion in 2024.
The Bears are the fourth seed, and they open the tournament at 11 a.m. Tuesday against No. 5 Portland State. No. 3 Weber State and No. 6 Montana play at 1:30 p.m.
Top-seeded Idaho State and No. 2 Sacramento State play later in the day Tuesday.
Idaho State meets the UNC-Portland State winner at 4 p.m. Sacramento State meets the Weber State-Montana winner at 6:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, games are scheduled for 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. The 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. games are elimination games.
Semifinals are scheduled for noon and 2:30 p.m. Thursday. The losers of those games are eliminated from the tournament.
The final begins at noon Friday with a second game at 2:30 p.m, if necessary.
Idaho State will host the 2026 tournament as the regular-season champion this year.
