BERKELEY — Police here are investigating a home invasion robbery where two gunmen threatened to shoot a 6-year-old while convincing the victims to give up cash, jewelry and a firearm.
The April 17 robbery occurred at an apartment on the 1700 block of 5th Street in West Berkeley, police said. The suspects reportedly threatened to shoot the 6-year-old and took $10,000 in cash, some jewelry, a pistol and the keys to a vehicle from the child’s parents and grandparents.
The robbers then allegedly fled to a car that had been reported stolen in San Francisco. Police suspect the same vehicle was used four days later in a shooting in Oakland.
No arrests have been announced.
