As fans continue to slam 73-year-old Bill Belichick's recent awkward interview with CBS Mornings — which was frequently interrupted by his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson — it seems the famous football coach has damage control on his mind.
Hudson took to Instagram on Tuesday, April 29 to share a screenshot from an email that Belichick seemingly sent to her and members of his management team about the PR campaign for his new book, The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football.

In the missive, Belichick seemed to be referring to another interview ahead of its release, as he shared his concerns about how his quotes would be received.
"'"I don't think this is fantastic, but it probably will hype the book, which is clearly the ongoing theme here..." he wrote, adding, "This is about what I expected from the media."
"We went through how important it was for me to put 'I f***ed up' in the book, and of course, that is the feature of this article — which is mostly about admitting mistakes and talking about a Super Bowl mistake. I am fine with putting mistakes in the book, but I am certainly not surprised that of 260+ pages, that is what they would highlight. And of course, the 'I f***ed up' is the click bait they used for the story."

♬ original sound - Yahoo Sports"We can expect the 'interviews' and 'podcasts' that will supposedly drive the sales will also come from similar samples," he continued, going on to seemingly reference the current gossip surrounding his age-gap relationship with Hudson and interview with CBS Mornings. "These appearances will, no doubt, want to focus on whatever negatives they can extract from the book, and all the current events that don't have anything to do with the book, but are most relevant to their 'ratings' and their agenda (which is not mine)."
"I have, at times reluctantly, gone along with the title, cover, and language in the book. I am not going to be the conductor of a hype train in the book promotion - we have enough hype to work with," he wrote, adding, "I hope we can get on the same page in promoting the book authentically."
In her caption, Hudson said a "full statement" would be released later today, but no further details were given.
Commenters were divided in their reactions to the post.
"p.s. the girl’s girls are having none of this, we are not here to make you into another Britney. We’re here to celebrate Jordon," wrote one supportive Hudson follower.
"That’s cool and all but how did you and bill meet ?" a second person asked (echoing the sentiments of curious fans everywhere).
"Word of advice from a much older person…stay out of his affairs. You unfortunately made him look really small by saying what you did. He’s a grown man that can handle himself. Not being mean. Let him conduct and respond in his interviews himself. ☺️" somebody suggested.
Another Instagram user took that advice one step further, writing, "Please don’t ruin this man’s legacy…time to take a step back and stay behind the scenes, please."
"Has anyone in sports ever torched their own legacy faster than Bill Belichick?" someone else wanted to know.
