Beyoncé’s daughters are following in their mom’s footsteps!
The “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer kicked off her Cowboy Carter Tour at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on Monday, April 28, with both Blue Ivy, 13, and Rumi Carter, 7, making special appearances.
Just as she did during Beyoncé’s hit Renaissance World Tour in 2023, Blue joined her mom onstage for various portions of the evening, including dancing alongside Beyoncé while she performed “America Has a Problem.”
Wearing an outfit reminiscent of newspaper clippings, Blue impressed her aunt, Solange Knowles, with her dance moves. “Exactlyyy neicy poohh,” Solange, 38, wrote over a video of Blue performing shared via Instagram Stories.
Courtesy of Solange/InstagramBlue later returned to the stage to perform a solo dance to her and mom and dad Jay-Z’s 2006 song “Déjà Vu.” (Beyoncé and Jay-Z also share a son, Sir, 7, who is Rumi’s twin.)
Blue and little sister Rumi also joined Beyoncé onstage for a poignant performance of “Protector,” which is taken from the Cowboy Carter album and features vocals from Rumi.
In clips circulating on social media, Beyoncé can be seen singing as an excited Rumi waves out toward the crowd in front of her. Rumi then turns around and wraps her arms around her mom while Blue can be seen behind the pair. “Beautiful job, baby,” the singer tells her daughter. A hyper Rumi is then seen soaking in the audience adulation, jumping up and down and waving at the crowd as she walks offstage hand in hand with her sister.

While the Cowboy Carter Tour marks Rumi’s onstage debut, Blue is no stranger to performing with her mom.
Blue danced up a storm during a rendition of “My Power” on her mom’s earlier Renaissance World Tour, though Beyoncé was initially reluctant to allow the teenager to take the stage.

“She told me she was ready to perform, and I told her no,” Beyoncé, 43, said in her Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé concert documentary, which was released in December 2023.
The former Destiny’s Child member shared that Blue was affected by social media critiques of her dancing. But instead of quitting, Blue impressed her mom when she just trained even harder — and her progress was noticed by fans.
Blue Ivy’s Dance Progress on ‘Renaissance’ Tour Is Mind-Blowing
“My beautiful first born I’m so proud and thankful to be your mama. You bring us so much joy, my sweet angel,” Beyoncé captioned a May 2023 Instagram post featuring clips of Blue performing on the tour.
In July 2023, Blue’s grandmother, Tina Knowles, praised her performance. “She’s having the time of her life, and I couldn’t be more proud of her because she really worked hard,” Tina told People. “She is 11 years old, and she had one week to prepare, and she’s just getting better and better. So I’m the proud grandma, always.”
