Virat Kohli's brother, Vikas, lashed out at former India National Cricket Team player Sanjay Manjrekar after he didn't name Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter in his top batters list in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. He, while lashing out at the commentator, pointed out his career strike rate.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru are having a great time in the ongoing Indian Premier League. The Rajat Patidar-led side are placed at the top of the table and look hot favourites to qualify for the playoffs of the tournament. One of the reasons behind their success has been Virat Kohli.
The opening batter has oozed his class with the bat and has scored runs consistently for his team. The India National Cricket Team batter is the second-leading run-getter in the tournament so far, and with him going, it's fair to say that he has a great chance to end as the leading run-getter.
However, he has also faced a lot of criticism for his strike rate in the league. The batter has slammed 443 runs in the league so far at an average of over 63 and a strike rate of 138.7. He has also slammed six fifties so far in the ongoing season.
Sanjay Manjrekar excludes Virat Kohli from the top batters list
Recently, Sanjay Manjrekar shared his list of batters, pointing out the names of the batters who have made big runs in the league with great strike rates. What caught the attention of many was that he didn't name Virat Kohli. Taking to his Twitter account, he stated:
"When it comes to batting only list that matters.Big runs with great SR so far.
Pooran : 377 runs SR 205
Priyansh Arya: 254 runs SR 202
Shreyas : 263 runs SR 185

However, a few days later, Virat Kohli's brother came up with the attack on Sanjay Manjrekar. He said that the former India National Cricket Team player had an ODI strike rate of 64.31, and it is very easy for him to talk about the 200-plus strike rate.
Easy to talk about 200-plus strike rate - Vikas Kohli attacks Sanjay Manjrekar
He said: "Mr Sanjay Manjrekar, career ODI strike rate: 64.31. Easy to talk about 200 plus strike rate."
Didn't expect Vikas Kohli to own Sanjay Manjrekar like this on threads but W regardless. ? pic.twitter.com/77BOlgF1DX

Kohli has been one of the vital cogs in the wheel for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the ongoing IPL. He has been doing a great job at the top of the order. The right-hander slammed fifty in the last game of the team against Delhi Capitals and took his team to win in conditions that were difficult to bat on.
Virat Kohli will be next seen in action when Royal Challengers Bengaluru take on Chennai Super Kings. The Game between the two teams is scheduled to be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday, 3rd May.
