Charles Barkley appeared irritated during his latest Inside the NBA appearance, as he went off on the Miami Heat for ‘quitting’ against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Miami’s postseason dream ended on Monday night, with Cleveland securing the most lopsided series win in NBA playoff history.
Donovan Mitchell scored 22 points, De’Andre Hunter added 19 and the Cavaliers led by as many as 60 points before winning 138-83 to sweep their Eastern Conference first-round series in four games.
Cleveland won the series by a combined 122 points, one more than the previous record margin set by Denver over New Orleans in 2009.
With the Cavs up 72-33 at halftime, Barkley tore into the Heat for their performance.
“I try not to ever use the word quit, or choke,” he began, on what is set to be the final season of Inside the NBA on TNT.
“I very seldom use them.
“This is quitting at its finest, right here. I bet if we went to their house, all their stuff is already packed.
“You lost by 37 the last game, then come back and lose by 40, you can’t stay in town.”
The rest of the NBA on TNT crew echoed Chuck’s thoughts, with host Ernie Johnson describing the game as one of the ‘worst’ he has ever watched.
“This reminds me of a karate movie when the guy comes into town and just starts beating everybody up,” Kenny Smith added.
“Just slapping people, coming through there… That’s what this looks like, man.”

“You’ve been jamming on the brakes on a lot of your thoughts today, what’s going on?” host Johnson asked him.
“Well, you got the dummies talkin’ in my damn ear, counting down all the time,” Chuck responded, taking shots at those working behind-the-scenes.
“It’s like 10, nine… 10, nine. The fat dude upstairs, and I don’t mean God. I mean TK.”
While Barkley let out a little laugh after relieving some frustration, Johnson wrapped the segment by saying, ‘I’m just gonna pretend you didn’t say that.’
Inside the NBA’s official X account shared footage of the moment, which quickly racked up more than 225,000 views.

Just days ago, a different clip from Inside the NBA went viral, when Shaq ran off set during a live segment.
While Barkley and the rest of the crew were ruthless in their assessment of the Heat at halftime on Monday, head coach Erik Spoelstra was perhaps even more critical of his team post-game.
“Damn, it was humbling. This series was humbling,” Spoelstra said in his press conference.
“These last two games were embarrassing. But Cleveland is also a very good team. We won whatever we won. They won 65 (games).
“We’re as irrational as we usually are, thinking we had a chance to win this series, and they showed us why we weren’t ready for that.”
