Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Eugenio Suarez was named National League Co-Player of the Week on Monday.
And it’s not hard to see why.
Suarez was the talk of the MLB town on Saturday behind four home runs and five RBIs across four at-bats in his team’s 8-7 loss to the Atlanta Braves in extra innings.
He became just the 19th player in MLB history to achieve the single-game feat of four dingers. The last player to do so before Suarez? Former D-backs slugger J.D. Martinez in 2017.
Thanks to his barrage, Suarez now sits tied for the MLB lead alongside Seattle’s Cal Raleigh in home runs with 10.

For his week of work, the third baseman slashed .400/.500/1.050 with a 1.550 OPS across six games played. On top of his four homers and five RBIs, he added three walks.
This marks the second weekly honor for Suarez, following his Player of the Week nod on March 31.
