(KRON) – A Petaluma man was arrested after chasing a salesperson with a firearm last week, according to the Petaluma Police Department.
Petaluma police officers responded to the 900 block of Daniel Drive at 6:21 p.m. on April 21. Authorities were informed that a homeowner was actively chasing a door-to-door salesperson while brandishing a gun at them.
Arriving officers spoke to the salesperson and the suspect, identified as 67-year-old Michael Greenwood.
Napa man arrested on child pornography chargesPolice said officers learned that Greenwood “retrieved a handgun from his home, exited the residence, brandishing the weapon and yelling threats towards the victim.” He was detained after the discovery.
According to police, Greenwood initially refused to consent for officers to take his firearm. However, he was ordered to surrender the gun after police issued a 21-day gun violence restraining order.
Greenwood was booked at the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility for violations of criminal threats and brandishing a firearm.
