While Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn was a family affair, it also staged the bitter north London rivalry.

Arsenal anthem ‘North London Forever’ was played at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and it seemed too much for talkSPORT host, and top DJ, Majestic.

Cheavon Clarke walked out to the Gunners song while donning red and white for his British cruiserweight title fight against Viddal Riley.

Spurs fans in the stadium responded with boos, with The Final Word host Majestic also expressing his distaste at the choice of music.

“Being a Spurs man here at the Spurs stadium, I’ve got to represent,” the DJ said beforehand on a TikTok video.

“Now I’ve heard one of the fighters is an Arsenal fan and he’s coming out to North London Forever.

“I refuse to play it, I will not be on the decks playing that.”

Majestic stuck to his word as when ‘North London Forever’ was being played on the speakers, he walked away from his decks in protest.

“Turn it off, get if off,” he said and, before joining in with the boos, he added: “F***ing liberty.”

Although Clarke revelled in playing Arsenal’s song on their rival’s turf, it was Spurs fan Riley who came out on top.

He won by unanimous decision to claim the British cruiserweight title at the home of his beloved club.

‘Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur’ then rang out around the stadium as Spurs beat Arsenal in an off-pitch contest.

Then came the main event of the night, with Eubank Jr and Benn finally settling their long-term war of words in the ring.

Eubank Jr, who was surprisingly accompanied by Eubank Sr, won via unanimous decision in what was a hugely entertaining fight.

It cast flashbacks of the iconic rivalry their fathers, Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn, shared in the 1990s.

Both fighters exchanged powerful blows, with the final round in particular becoming an intense dog fight before the bell rang.

Eubank Jr fell to his knees and screamed in celebration before embracing his father during emotional scenes in north London.

There is a contracted rematch clause; meaning Benn could have another opportunity to trade blows with the victor.
