If you’re looking for a dish that's high in protein, low in calories (just 113 calories per serving) and totally craveable, this is it. Made with cottage cheese, eggs, diced turkey, Swiss cheese and onion, this savory bake is a warm, fluffy square of comfort.

But what makes this dish so smart is its simplicity. You toss everything in one bowl, give it a stir, pour it into a baking dish and let the oven do the work. It’s a true mix-and-bake recipe that's perfect for busy mornings, those times when you need something hearty but don’t want to dirty every dish in the kitchen or even a lazy Sunday morning when you want something hearty and comforting but it also has to be easy.

To make it, just mix all of the ingredients mentioned above in a bowl, then add some flour, baking powder and salt and stir it until blended. (You can grab the full ingredient amounts in the video above.)

Preheat the oven to 375° and lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy cleanup. Pour the mixture into the baking dish and smooth the top. Bake for 35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set. It's done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Let the breakfast bake cool for 10 minutes before slicing it into squares. Serve warm and enjoy!

Why You’ll Love This Easy Breakfast Bake

This dish is a protein powerhouse, thanks to the cottage cheese and eggs and it gets a flavor boost from the Swiss cheese, onion and turkey. It’s versatile enough for breakfast, brunch, lunch or even a light dinner with a side salad.

It's also super customizable. We've noticed that Andreeva is a fan of easy egg bakes (we also love this one) and she likes to mix up the high-protein dairy (ricotta or cottage cheese), the cheese (cheddar, Swiss) and the mix-ins (turkey, onions, etc.). And you can make your version with whatever leftovers you have in the fridge or whatever flavors you're craving. Swap out the Swiss for cheddar or mozzarella, add spinach or red bell peppers, use ham instead of turkey—you get the idea. Make it as simple or elaborate as you want!

And not only is it quick to whip up, but it’s also meal-prep friendly. Make it ahead of time and refrigerate the squares for an easy grab-and-go meal throughout the week. They reheat beautifully, staying moist and fluffy.

Try it once, and don’t be surprised if it becomes your new go-to.
