India women’s cricket team stars are sporting black armbands to pay tribute to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack. Harmanpreet Kaur and co. are facing off against Sri Lanka in the first game of the Tri-Nation series. INDW won the toss and decided to bowl first in the rain-hit tie in Colombo.

India women’s cricket team, led by skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, were seen sporting black armbands during the game. They are doing so to show their respect and solidarity for the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack. 26 people were repotedly killed after terrorists opened fire on tourists in J&K’s Pahalgam.
The rain-hit tie has been reduced to 39 overs a side. Sree Charani and Kashvee Gautam will be making their debuts in the contest.
Earlier this week, IPL teams also sported black armbands to pay tribute to the people who lost their lives in the attack. In the aftermath of the attack, no cheerleaders or fireworks was present for the MI vs SRH clash on April 23. Similarly, the KKR vs PBKS tie on Saturday also witnessed trbutes being paid to the victims, with the officials refraining from ringing the bell at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
