The National Weather Service issued an updated beach hazards statement at 9:48 p.m. on Saturday valid from Sunday 6 a.m. until Wednesday, Apr. 30 at 9 p.m. for Orange County Coast.
“Elevated surf of 4 to 6 ft, with sets to 7 feet expected,” the NWS San Diego CA said. “A 2 to 3 feet swell from 190 to 200 degrees with a 16 to 18 second period. Highest surf will occur on south/southwest facing beaches.”
“Strong rip currents will create hazardous swimming conditions,” according to the NWS. “Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.”
