The Arizona Cardinals selected Nevada safety Kitan Crawford with the No. 255 pick (seventh round) in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The 5-foot-11, 202-pounder heads to Arizona after his lone season at Nevada where he registered 76 tackles, two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), seven passes defensed and a forced fumble across 13 games.
Before his time at Nevada, he spent four seasons at Texas.
Kitan Crawford newest addition to the Cardinals safeties room
Safety was among the positions Arizona were pretty set at entering the draft.
Budda Baker, who signed a contract extension last year, and Jalen Thompson figure to resume their starting roles.
Then there’s second-year pro Dadrion “Rabbit” Taylor-Demerson. Rabbit flashed his violence and physicality as a rookie and should see more snaps come his way in Year 2.
Arizona also has special teams ace Joey Blount as another option in the safeties room.
Who have the Cardinals taken in the 2025 NFL Draft?
Before Crawford landed with Arizona, the franchise took Ole Miss defensive tackle Walter Nolen III with the No. 16 overall pick on Thursday night.
They came back around on Day 2 and nabbed Michigan cornerback Will Johnson at No. 47 (second round) before selecting Oregon pass rusher Jordan Burch at No. 78 (third round).
Then came Saturday, when Arizona took Ohio State linebacker Cody Simon at No. 115, cornerback Denzel Burke at No. 174 and Texas guard Hayden Conner at No. 211 before Crawford at No. 225.
