Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter Swastik Chikara was trolled by fans for being Virat Kohli’s shadwo and roaming around him and beign his water boy during the game. Chikara had a cool response when some teammates teased him over a meme poking fun at his constant presence around Kohli.

Chikara’s behavior caught attention after his Uttar Pradesh teammate Yash Dayal shared that Chikara had once opened Kohli’s kitbag without asking for permission following a game against Kolkata Knight Riders.
“Toh kya ho gaya? Apne bhai ko toh main hi pilaaunga! (What’s there in that? I’ll serve water to my brother)!” Chikara said on the video.

Swastik Chikara was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the IPL 2025 auction for his base price of ₹30 lakh. Although Delhi Capitals showed interest as well, it was RCB who eventually won the bid.
Who is Swastik Chikara?
Chikara struck 85 off 27 balls in September, he broke the record for the fastest half-century in the UP T20 League. By then, Swastik had already made his List A debut, going on to hit 117 off 101 balls against Himachal Pradesh in Chandigarh in November 2023.In the Ranji Trophy, Swastik made his first-class debut against Bengal in October, scoring 41 off 74 balls in the opening innings. Even though his first T20 match didn’t go as expected, he played in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in November.
