Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are now reportedly living a peaceful life in London along with their daughter, Vamika, and son, Akaay, far from all the glitz and glamour of India. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma decided to move out of India in 2024, but still, the power couple visit the country often for work.
Now, the real reason behind their relocation has finally come out. Since the birth of their second child, Akaay, in February 2024, Virat and Anushka have been spotted enjoying their time with their children in London. Adding to the buzz, Virat Kohli’s childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, also confirmed that the former Indian captain has plans to settle in London.
Now, Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit's husband, Dr. Sriram Nene, has revealed why Virat and Anushka moved to London. Dr. Nene revealed that the couple wanted their kids to grow up away from the limelight and glamour of India. He said that the couple couldn’t enjoy their success in India and also wanted to give their kids a normal life, and that’s why they moved to the UK.

Dr. Nene made these revelations during a conversation with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia on his podcast. He recalled how the Bollywood actress had spoken to him about her wish to give her children a more normal and peaceful upbringing in London. Dr. Nene, who runs a health and wellness YouTube channel, also expressed his admiration for Virat Kohli.

Dr. Nene said on his YouTube channel, “I have a lot of respect for him. We’ve met him multiple times; he’s just a decent human being. I’ll tell you something, and this is what you learn: they all put their pants on one leg at a time. We had a conversation with Anushka one day, and it was very interesting.”
He added, “They were thinking about moving to London because they can’t enjoy their success here. We appreciate what they go through because anything they do attracts attention. We almost become isolated. Anushka and Virat are lovely people, and they just want to raise their kids normally.”

Rajkumar Sharma already confirmed Virat Kohli's move
Meanwhile, Kohli’s childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, earlier revealed that the star cricketer has decided to move away from India and settle in London.
He was quoted as saying by Dainik Jagran, “Yes, Virat plans to move to London with his children and wife, Anushka Sharma. He is going to be leaving India and shifting very soon. However, right now, Kohli is spending most of his time with his family apart from cricket.”
Notably, Kohli has been in good form with the bat in the ongoing IPL 2025, amassing 392 runs in nine matches, with five half-centuries to his name so far. His brilliant form has helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru reach third place on the points table with 12 points from nine games.
RCB will now face Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi in their next IPL 2025 match on Sunday, April 27.
