FOOTBALL Fans ripped ESPN analyst Mel Kiper for his constant Shedeur Sanders commentary during the 2025 NFL Draft.

Kiper’s remarks concerned the Colorado Buffaloes product Sanders, who didn’t hear his name called in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Throughout Thursday night, teams chose not to pick Shedeur and opted to go in different directions.
At the same time, the legendary draft analyst Kiper, who’s long been a fan of the youngster, took issue with the slide.
Kiper even sent a message to teams that passed up on Deion Sanders’ son’s services.
“Shedeur Sanders will come back to haunt these organizations that are passing him up,” Kiper said.
There were multiple sequences in which Kiper mentioned Sanders and his fit for teams throughout the night.
And fans weren’t happy with Kiper bringing up Sanders during the festivities.
“Mel Kiper, stop trying to make Shedeur Sanders happen. It’s not gonna happen,” one wrote.
“Mel Kiper seems to be personally offended that Shedeur Sanders hasn’t been drafted yet,” another commented.
“Mel Kiper talking about Shedeur not being drafted like it’s a personal attack on him lol,” a third added.
“Get rid of Mel Kiper! You can only talk about Shedeur Sanders during the pick of Jaxson Dart?” a fourth stated.
There were two quarterbacks taken in Thursday’s draft.
Signal-caller Cam Ward was the No. 1 overall pick and taken by the Tennessee Titans.
The New York Giants traded into the first round to select quarterback Jaxson Dart with the No. 25 overall pick.

But the Steelers drafted defensive tackle Derrick Harmon with that pick.
Sanders has been a polarizing player due to being the son of his legendary father, Deion, and his personality.
He will have to see if he’s taken in Day 2 of the NFL Draft, which takes place on Friday night.
