Melissa Gilbert is ushering in spring with the help of her beloved dog, Chicago.
In a recent Instagram post, the Little House on the Prairie actress shared a wholesome springtime photo taken during a walk in Manhattan with her pup in tow.

She shared a photo of Chicago sitting on the grass under a blooming tree, sporting what appeared to be a giant smile on his face.

"Chicago in Riverside park yesterday. Spring is definitely here!" the former child actor, now age 60, captioned her post earlier this week.
Gilbert adopted the yellow lab mix as a puppy back in 2022, taking to Instagram to share the news at the time.
"Oh happy day!!" she wrote in her Instagram post, featuring several photos of a baby Chicago, whose full name is Chicago Gilbert-Busfield.

"We adopted her today from the @anticruelty here in…you guessed it….Chicago," Gilbert, who is married to husband Timothy Busfield, wrote at the time. "She is an eight week old lab mix (at least everyone thinks she’s a lab mix). She has the cutest stubby tail ever."
"We are madly in love and can’t wait to take her home to our place," Gilbert added. "Welcome to the family Chicago!!"
