The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has issued a warning regarding Thursday’s weather, indicating a sudden drop in temperatures across Greater Cairo, the north of the country, and extending to northern Upper Egypt.
This comes amid predictions of rainfall in several governorates, potentially reaching Cairo in the evening. The daytime weather will be warm over Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and South Sinai, moderate along the northern coasts, and hot to very hot in southern Upper Egypt.
Nighttime weather will be mild, becoming cool in the early morning across most areas. This will be accompanied by a slight decrease in temperatures compared to Wednesday, with continued stable atmospheric conditions.
There is a chance of light rain in the morning along the northwestern coasts (such as Alexandria and Matrouh) and some Delta governorates, but this is not expected to significantly affect Cairo or other inland areas.
Weather maps have detected moderate to active northwesterly winds, with speeds ranging from 10-20 km/h, which may stir up sand and dust in exposed areas of southern Upper Egypt and South Sinai
