Nicole Scherzinger is proving herself to be the "stuff of legends" after making sure the audience at Broadway's Sunset Boulevard didn't leave empty-handed when the show was canceled unexpectedly at the last minute.
As reported by Playbill, a technical mishap got in the way of the musical's matinee performance on Wednesday, April 23, but with the Pussycat Dolls frontwoman at the helm, not all was a wash.
Scherzinger treated the audience to her character's first song, "With One Look," as seen in a video from professional magician Giancarlo Bernini. "Talk about someone who cares deeply about their audience, and her voice still gave me chills," Bernini wrote. "What a beautiful moment."
Fans were in attendance detailed the moment on Instagram, too, explaining that the performer "ran to her dressing room and got her portable speaker and her phone" before returning to the stage to sing "for us using the megaphone" and a backing track. "She was brilliant," they added.
"This was an epic moment and we loved it today!" another audience member applauded, looking forward to seeing the show "for real" later this week.
"Really wish we could have seen the whole show, but this was a pretty legendary way to send us out ?," another boasted, while several fans praised the "Absolutely iconic" gesture for the audience.
"Stuff of legends," one called it, as another dubbed her a "True artist ???."
"Brava Diva," a final one applauded. "She cares about her audience. Talk about dedication."
