Both Arsenal and Crystal Palace will have one eye on other games on the horizon in the next week, but Wednesday’s clash at the Emirates still has some importance.
Defeat for the hosts would seal the Premier League title for Liverpool, while Palace still have an outside chance of qualifying for Europe via the league.

Goals on the agenda
Recent meetings between these two sides have supplied plenty of goals, with 16 in their last three encounters.
That includes a 5-1 victory for the Gunners at Selhurst Park in the reverse fixture, when Gabriel Jesus bagged a brace for Mikel Arteta’s men.
Arsenal do have the best defensive record in the top-flight but they have kept just one clean sheet in their last seven home league games.
There have also been 15 goals in the last four Palace matches, with the concern for manager Oliver Glasner being the five goals they conceded in both of their last two away games, at Manchester City and Newcastle United.
The 5-0 defeat at St James’ Park was the first time in 2025 that the Eagles had failed to score on the road, also scoring twice at the Emirates in the EFL Cup clash back in December.
Arteta is likely to rest some of his key players ahead of next week’s Champions League semi-final first leg against Paris Saint-Germain.
Palace have an FA Cup semi-final to look forward to this weekend and they may also ring the changes ahead of their Wembley clash with Aston Villa.
Munoz set to serious test
Daniel Munoz has been one of the shining lights for Palace so far this season, with the wing-back scoring four goals in his first full season in the Premier League.
The Colombian has also been a regular in the referee’s notebook this term, having been cautioned on 12 occasions across all competitions.
Munoz has been carded in Palace’s last two matches, against Newcastle and Bournemouth, and is likely to face a testing evening against Arsenal’s pacey wide players.
Palace will be forced into making changes at the back on Wednesday, with Chris Richards suspended following his sending off on Saturday.
Trossard can benefit from European run
Leandro Trossard has not made the impact many expected since his move to the Emirates from Brighton in January 2023.
With a host of injuries to attacking players in the squad, the Belgian has started more games for Arsenal than in recent seasons and the Champions League run will lead to more appearances.
Trossard has been in the starting XI in the last three league games, scoring in the draw at Everton and then finding the net twice in the win at Ipswich Town.
There are fitness concerns over Bakayo Saka and, with Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus still sidelined, Trossard looks likely to start up front again on Wednesday night and is good value to continue his scoring form.
