PATRICK Mahomes has made his intentions clear to get back to the top of the NFL mountain.
The Kansas City Chiefs superstar is driven by February’s painful loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Mahomes, 29, saw his Super Bowl three-peat hopes dashed in New Orleans, Louisiana.
But he’s wasted no time in getting back to business .
The quarterback was pictured working with four teammates on the practice field.
He was seen running plays with wide receivers Justyn Ross, Skyy Moore and Nikko Remigio as well as running back Isiah Pacheco.
The quarterback has seemingly taken little time off after the Super Bowl defeat in February.
He has shared pictures of himself in the gym and largely kept a low profile.
Mahomes has been seen on a couple of basketball date nights with wife Brittany.
The first was to watch his alma mater Texas Tech play before the March Madness tournament.
And earlier in April he watched his Dallas Mavericks.
The Mahomes’ were sat court side for Luka Doncic’s first game back since his trade.
The Slovenian star was sent to the Los Angeles Lakers just days before Mahomes was preparing to play in the Super Bowl.
The trade rocked the world of sport and led to outrage among Mavericks fans.
Doncic was moved to tears by a video tribute during his return.
And he was given a rousing ovation by Mavericks fans in the arena.
The forward also embraced with Mahomes after the game.
Mahomes and the Chiefs are preparing for a shot at their fourth straight Super Bowl in 2025.
The quarterback has won three of his five visits to the showpiece game so far.
And Kansas City will be out to make amends for the way this season ended.
The 2025 campaign kicks off on Thursday 4 September.
The Philadelphia Eagles will raise their Super Bowl banner before the first game of the year.
