Shaun Murphy lived up to his nickname in the first round of the World Snooker Championship.
The Magician began his Crucible campaign against Daniel Wells on Tuesday.
Murphy raced into a 4-1 lead after a trio of half-centuries and a 100 break in Sheffield.
His best break of the match so far came in the sixth frame, though, as a 138 clearance saw him extend his lead.
The 2005 world champion even finished his break with a stunning no-look trick shot.
With the black remaining, Murphy snubbed a simple shot into the corner pocket and instead hit the ball off four cushions.
By the time the ball was trickling towards the pocket he had already turned his back and headed for his chair.
Murphy glanced back quickly to make sure his shot had come off as the crowd erupted in disbelief.
TNT Sports commentator Philip Studd was equally stunned, exclaiming: “Murphy conjuring some magic and finishing with a flourish.
“He didn’t even look at that black, he knew it was bound for the pocket. What a break.”
Murphy had already attempted another trick shot earlier in the match.
In a bid to pot the yellow to the middle pocket, he fired the white off the side cushion.

The English cueist’s heroics helped him end Tuesday’s session with a 7-2 lead.
His advantage was established by winning six of the last seven frames against Wells.
The pair will resume their best of 19 encounter on Wednesday morning in search of a place in the second round.
Either Judd Trump or Zhou Yuelong await the winner in the last 16.
Their clash is scheduled to begin tomorrow night as second seed Trump eyes a second world title.
Murphy’s appearance, meanwhile, follows a row erupting with 2024 champion Kyren Wilson prior to the tournament.
Wilson called out Murphy for his ‘uncalled for and quite unprofessional’ antics before the final of the Masters in January.
His rival responded on his onefourseven podcast, though, stating: “We regrouped in the dressing room following the first session.
“We got changed, we went off into the car park. I ended up filling my car with washer fluid, that’s how rock n’ roll we are.
“Then we jumped in the car and went and found a car wash. Then we went to Starbucks, came back to the venue, got ready, and went to play the match.”
Wilson went on to lose his first round match to Lei Peifan as his reign came to an end on Saturday.
